Christmas is set to be a little different in Porthcawl this year with two amazing events.
Porthcawl Chamber of Trade have joined forces with the Town Council and the County Borough Council to make sure Porthcawl is the place to be. Christmas in Porthcawl kicks off on Friday 29th November, 3.30pm to 9pm, when they are officially launching the celebrations with the Jingle Bell Parade. Santa will be arriving in style through the town centre to turn on the Christmas lights and trees.

It’ll be a fantastically festive day with pop-up market, seasonal food and lots of Christmas gifts and treats. There will also be a festive parade featuring the Porthcawl Christmas Brass band, Santa Samba and of course Santa himself.

At 6.45pm on the Bridge FM stage, at the junction John Street and Well Street, the Christmas lights will be officially turned on by Santa, the mayor and a special guest.
There’ll also live music, craft stalls, street food, entertainment, face painting and children’s rides.

The second date for your Christmas calendar is Sunday 8th December for the Christmas Cracker event from 11 till 4pm. There’s lots going on with a pop-up Christmas market in John Street car park and street food, craft stalls and Santa’s Grotto in the Museum on John Street.

Traffic will be closed on John Street Carpark for children’s rides and the soon to be legendary snowstorm. On the Walk About Parade from 1pm there’ll be the Porthcawl Christmas Brass Band, Santa and Santa’s elves plus some surprises! All the way through to 5pm Where else would you want to be during the festive period with so much going in Porthcawl.
